JONES still makes the knives by hand forge, and all of Jones’s knives, hand-forged knives are made by a specially trained craftsman. A forged knife is robust and sharp. Because of the Jones’s process and our material, it is 5160 steel, making our knives heavier and stronger. Even our cooking/chef knives collection of JONES is still heavier than usual.
Almost all the material for making the kitchen/cooking knife is usually stainless steel. But Jones thinks differently from that, we believe the knife should be as sharp, strong, and durable as they can. That makes Jones always choose the high carbon steel to be the main material for our Jones knives. Not only Jones but also chef knives usually use high carbon steel for making chef knives. For a lot of reasons such as sturdy and sharpness.

THE BANGTO KNIFE
“THE BANGTO KNIFE” is the cleaver style of JONES. We designed and consider the size of the knife. “THE BANGTO KNIFE”, a cleaver knife of jones included in the set. We still use 5160 steel (High carbon steel) because we are serious about the sturdy and sharp first. But please beware the steel will rust and stain if you do not diligent about the upkeep of the blade. So we always warn you to Please remove the water well after use, if you do not use it for a long time please apply light oil. (For every project we will bring coconut oil to keep your blade knife still perfect.)

“THE BANGTO KNIFE” comes with 7 inches blade, 5 inches handle, and all of the lengths of “THE BANGTO KNIFE” with ~12 inches. (~12 because the knife is handcraft, made by trained craftsman. So It will slightly differ from 12 inches. Even the cleaver knife is not mainly purposed for cutting vegetables but many people still use it. Sometimes small or easy vegetables are cut by the cleaver knife, and you know the cleaver knife is a very big knife and very tough. So we make another size, It calls “THE MINI BANGTO KNIFE”. It is small in size for some easy and small ones, such as garlic, radish, onion, etc.

What’s the most famous jungle knife? Some would say bowie, swiss, hinting knife, kukri knife, and so on have all. Now, we consider a kukri knife. Because Kukri is the one that has a history of knives for a long time. History of the kukri knife, It is the signature of Gurkha soldiers, Gurkha soldiers take it to fight with enemy soldiers who had a gun. That’s what makes the kukri knife popular. But for the origin of the kukri knife, nobody knows. It is a lot confusing because of the information lost in the mists of time. Anyway, The kukri is one of the most ancient knives in the world.
THE KUKRO
This time a kukri knife was picked by Jones to be a draft original for kukri jones style, It is called “THE KUKRO”. We design and search for the best angel to be suitable for people. A taller bevel ~30 angles from a panel with an edge. The kukri should have been made from high carbon steel because the origin knife is sturdy.
The design of “THE KUKRO”, This time we are back with a black blade, the original jones style seems “THE RAMBO”. And the blade length is ~10-10.5” and a handle length of 5”, It is totally ~15-15.5”. A taller bevel ~30 angles from a panel with an edge. And we still use high carbon, 5160 to be our material for the blade
